Burberry's fragrance line launched in 1981 with Burberry for Men and is now under Coty's portfolio. The catalog is split between the mass-market mainline (Brit, Body, Touch, Hero) and the smaller Burberry Signatures collection that aims at a more niche audience. Most Burberry fragrances do exactly what you'd expect from a heritage British outerwear brand: clean, restrained, slightly safe. Brit (2003) was the breakout that defined the brand's fragrance identity for over a decade. The Signatures line is more interesting per-bottle but harder to find outside flagship stores.
