Cool, powdery, slightly carrot-like. Iris is technically a root note (the rhizome is aged for years before it can be processed), which is why iris-heavy fragrances are often expensive. Reads as quiet, mature, slightly melancholic. Beloved by people who hate sweet fragrances.
