Warm, sweet, almond-vanilla-hay. Tonka contains coumarin (the molecule that makes new-mown grass smell good) and reads as a richer, drier cousin of vanilla. Backbone of the entire fougère family and a workhorse base note in modern masculines. Comfort-food warm.
